Translating Research into Information for Patients

Veterans and patients should have access to findings from research about their health, especially when that research may affect their healthcare and self-care decisions. To help address this need, the Pain/Opioid CORE launched an initiative in 2021 to develop a series of infographics to communicate research results to patients and their caregivers.

Infographics are produced by experienced health communication and data visualization professionals and involve iterations of patient input. During the two-year pilot project, six infographics will be produced and disseminated through a variety of communication channels, including this website. Stay tuned for updates.
